✞ One of the Prodigal Son, or the Prodigal Son![]()
We continue in the Sundays of preparation for Lent, the second Sunday, which is the one of the prodigal son. This, after he split his father's money (i.e. divided it)![]()

and went far into sin… he realized his father's love for him, after![]()
a harsh experience… that turned his hunger and desire for carobs, into![]()
a hunger for his father's house!![]()

This is how we are too… sooner or later, we will realize that the harsh experience we are going through… will turn our hunger for stability, into![]()
a hunger and longing for God! In whom alone, there is comfort and reassurance.![]()

This parable calls us, telling us that the prodigal son's condition became![]()
very bad… his adolescence, distanced him from his father. He loved to live![]()
in amusement… thinking that by doing so, he had become free..!! His hunger for food became a door to his real hunger for his father. The answer to his hunger, he found it with his father. Yes, human hunger, in every sense of the word, its answer: (God!) ![]()

Like the prodigal son, he sends us a message of hope! Confirming that the father is still waiting for us.. and that he is eagerly coming out to meet us, when we return home, to church, and he has prepared for us today the first robe, and the fatted calf! ![]()

The prodigal among us is the one who returns now…
